Nike Air Presto Shoes in Black. Sleek and super comfortable, the Nike Air Presto has been designed to feel good and look fast. Equipped with TPU detailing on the toe tip for shine and a hard wearing overlay that holds the lace fastening in place before wrapping around the heel, a combination of a stretchy synthetic fabric sleeve is met with a durable midfoot cage for an impactful look that performs. Embroidered Swoosh tick emblems have been stitched in black on the forefoot for subtle branding and above the lace fastening securely holds the foot in place above a highly cushioned tongue, complete with a decorative synthetic disc. Further branding can be seen on the midfoot cage, including additional Swoosh tick logos embossed on either side and stylised ‘Presto’ lettering further towards the heel. Helping to support the foot and increase strength in a key stress aea, the midfoot cage continues around the heel where a woven loop pull tab sits above a translucent effect Nike Air logo. Throughout the inside of the shoe Nike Air cushioning adds lasting comfort and the foam midsole includes five dots that reference the innovation-focused Nike Alpha Project, complete with flex grooves in the sole that work in harmony with the natural motion of the foot.

Originally released during the 1990’s as a prototype design from legendary shoe designers Tobie Hatfield, Kevin Hoffer and Bob Mervar, the Nike Air Presto was originally introduced in 2000 after a long development and various experimentations. Combining an improved collar that would not collapse with a comfortable slipper-like fit, Hatfield developed a v-notch detail inspired by clothing which was later labelled as the ‘t-shirt sizing’ system. Reborn for current day, the latest Nike Air Presto plays with various colour combinations which only further enhance the custom detailing found specifically on this model.
